Broken: Vector power inverter packaging
These Vector power inverters were on the hanging rack near the checkout at BestBuy.
You can see that the hanging tabs are on the end of the boxes' lid flap, and that their considerable weight has pulled them all open.
Looking carefully I saw that there had been an effort to re-seal some of the boxes with scotch tape, but that too had failed to keep their lids closed.
Vector should re-design their packages so they stay closed when hanging or they should require that the product be placed on a shelf instead of being hung on a rack.
I can't tell for sure from the picture, but I think that those hanging tabs were put on by the store, not part of the original manufacturer. When I worked at Target, we had a supply of the hangers, and they had a very strong sticky strip on them so you could attach them to just about anything. They were put on according to whether Target wanted to hang the merchandise on a hook, not what the manufacturer wanted. Still broken, but because of Best Buy and not Vector.
I agree with Dan. These appear to be added by the store. Apparently, the hangers should have been stuck to the front of the box rather than the flap.

Quickly! Take it out of the box and run!! It's already opened, so why not? :'D
Speaking of which, no one will buy an open packaged of something unless they can't find it elsewhere...
