Broken: Caution children sign
Jeffrey MacEachern submits a picture of a sign taken in Maple Ridge, British Columbia:
I took this picture in my townhouse complex of a caution sign which reads, "Caution: Live Children Playing."
As opposed to...?
And of course, zombie children would be slower and, well, less lively... but possibly eat you. They should add a sign for these, too!
_@_v, your 2nd post is broken: "-stein" rhymes with "nine". :)
This is even better than the normal signs that say.
caution
SLOW
children
playing
or something like that. I always thought, "Those kids probably get picked on enough about being slow, why do they have to have a sign to point it out?" lol
Ah, from the movie "Young Frankenstein", as Google now told me - well, one wouldn't expect Mel Brooks (or whoever wrote these particular lines) to keep the correct German pronunciation if that would prevent some jokes...

no, the idea was that 'young' frankenstein, e.g. Frederick in the movie, wanted to be separated from his grandfather, Victor, who pronounced it the original way.
My favourite sign (also from around the Maple Ridge area, curiously enough) was always "Max 30 km/h when children on highway"
My thought was "shouldn't that be 'dead stop when children on highway'?"
