Broken: Sign in Gaffney, South Carolina
PD from Atlanta, Georgia sends this in:
This sign found in Gaffney, South Carolina shows a new variation on the misspelling of "it's" - i'ts.
(Yes, Gaffney is the location of the Peachoid water tower .)
here we go, another chance for me to get slammed for making this comment :)
...another weak entry.
Is this really the best TIB can come up with? I'm going to reiterate a comment I made once before; if it comes down to trying to put up a new post almost every day, and something as silly as this being the entry, or having to wait a few days for a new entry that really is worthy of such a cool site, then I'd rather wait.
Gee, the apostrophe is in the wrong place!! If this would be enough for you to not eat there, then fine, I guess it can be called broken, but I can't imagine the vast majority of the population would actually care (or probably even notice).
Should it be fixed? Yup, that would be nice. Is it really a big deal? I don't think so.
Did the poster of this one let the restaurant management know that it was incorrect? Better yet, did the poster tell them that they had taken a picture and was going to post it to TIB? I would really be interested if he or she did make a comment, and if it was ever fixed.
If them mistake was pointed out, and it was left like that anyway, then that is what's even more broken.
Hey, memnon. You are going against what TIB is all about. It's not about major world problems and flaws in corporate structure, it's about issues that could be fixed with little or no effort to make the customer experience better or to make the company look better.
so this sight is about petty issues like an apostrophe in the wrong place?
I don't think so... I'm not going against what TIB is about, I'm going against what TIB is becoming...
What's really broken is that the stuff on this sign is put on by hand, so it's not just like a typo or something.
Postings that he dislikes distress memnon so much that he would actually prefer that they not be posted at all? If I felt that way I wouldn't come to this, uh, "sight" anymore.
