Broken: Tomato description
Erik Andersson writes in:
The picture above shows a rather odd looking sign at my local food store here in Huddinge, Sweden.
The sign says "Swedish tomatoes, (from Holland)."
How are the tomatoes Swedish when they where grown in Holland?
Clearly they were grown in both Sweden and Holland. Must have been on the border. Wait... there is no border.
n1nj4 french fries come from New Brunswick and PEI around here (French fFry capitol of the world is Florenceville NB, Canada)
Guys, the chap's Swedish. I imagine if "Swedish Tomatoes" were a brand name, he would know about it.
ObFact: The Swedish Chef did all his cooking in Elstree, northeast London.
It's a variety of tomato.
