Broken: Dental clinic name

Img_1795_1A reader named Jonathan submits a picture taken in Taipei, Taiwan:

I knew that luxury designer names were being knocked off for bags, but who knew that people were using luxury designer's names for dental clinics as well!

Comments:

Hey, my great-grandmother goes there. She's a toothless old bag. :-P

Y'know, the dentist could just be named Louis V.

This may not formally be a `knockoff,' by the way, since trademarks are limited to certain domains. E.g., Domino Sugar is not a knockoff of Domino's Pizza or vice versa. Unless Louis Vuitton has registered his trademark in dentistry, Louis Vuitton, DDS, is perfectly in line.

Just an odd coincidence, that's all.

When I was in Taiwan, I noticed several mis-uses of English words that business owners used. I guess they are trying to show they know English. My favorite one was a place called "Stupid Iced Tea."
