Broken: Inspirational poster
Jonathan Langer sends this picture seen on the wall at his high school.
He writes: "Inspirational posters are commonly placed on school walls. However, this one seems oddly out of place. The message may be true, but it's definitely not inspirational."
dude why is the wall pink? hihg schools usall dont have pink walls. another thing, it looks like one of those custom posters.
Is it broken though? Message is fairly accurate, if a little depressing
If you liked that poster, check out the demontivational posters at: http://www.posters-artprints-pictureframes.com/demotivational-posters-1.htm
Higgser said exactly what I was thinking.
Now, as for the poster.... I'd bet that a student put that up while the administrators weren't paying attention.
It is definately broken...the message is supposed to be inspirational and uplifiting but instead causes you to become depressed. Therefore the poster does not work as it should and is BROKEN
Not Broken. That could be there intent, to make you depressed. See this website www.despair.com. They make a business out of demotivational posters.
Broken because it's supposed to be inspirational but comes out more threatening/menacing than scary. I don't know that I'd want a lion telling me to wait till tomorrow if I thought today was bad...!
How the heck is this an example of "a project to make businesses more aware of their customer experience, and how to fix it"??? This and the cop car... man... looks this should become a site updated weekly with real broken stuff -- design flaws and so forth -- without the "fluff" like we've seen recently.
This is only broken if you think that the person who hung the poster intended to inspire.
On a larger note, those insipid inspirational posters are broken. They depress me. Their messages are anodyne and cliche.
Just for Fun, guys. If you're like me and think inspirational posters like this are retarded, check out www.despair.com. My favorite is, "INDIFFERENCE -- It takes 47 muscles to frown and only 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any just to sit there with a dumb look on your face."
"dude why is the wall pink? hihg schools usall dont have pink walls. another thing, it looks like one of those custom posters."
I don't think the wall's pink, looks more white to me. with a little pink tinge due to the camera that was used(most likely a cell Phone Camera)
a school counts as a buisness, and its customer experience is quite possibly more important than that of any company.
Probably just put up by a teacher as a joke...I know a few of my teachers who have similar posters in their rooms.
"This is only broken if you think that the person who hung the poster intended to inspire."
True, very true.
i guess the author's idea was to say that, if you wait and don't kill yourself, you should live to see a better day tomorrow.
of course the depressing conotation is stronger.
Yeah that's more of a cougar/Mountain Lion/Panther then a tiger...
These are tigers

didn't notice the Image name before but now it seems the poster's submitter is a little broken LOL
As a future teacher, I plan to keep my room uplifting and casual. To keep the casual atmosphere, some teachers will put posters like this up to get a snicker out of some kids. While it might not be uplifting (which might not be its intent, as already pointed out) it is humorous and for some teachers, it is a way to connect with students.
Assuming the intention was, in fact, to be inspirational, then this would be like "If you think our waitresses are rude, you should see our manager."
It's a Lioness, and she's growling... You see what happens when Nala get's mad? Trust me on this one, DO NOT @%#$ WITH NALA! (or she could be giving a seductive grin, I'm really not sure. I'll have to ask Simba, if he isn't haveing daddy issues again that is...)
Two things:
1. The poster is NEGATIVE. Maybe it somehow got attracted to positive posters, like magnets? LOL
2. That's one angry-looking lioness! The lions have big fluffy collars XD :P.
This smacks of photoshop. I don't think a poster like this could be up long enough for someone to take a picture.

how is it exactly that there appears to be no damage or graffiti anywhere on it? something that noticeable and laughable wouldn't last long in most high schools.
