Broken: Unfortunate search result summary
Jake Olson points out that if you Google "kodakgallery" the first result reads:
Kodakgallery.com The easiest way to share your photos and get high ...
hey, They just trying to find a uses for all the old chemicals that they still have from when people use to actuly have to get photo's developed. :)
Not broken and not unfortunate, either. What an excellent way to merge two fun activities. Hope Kodak survives a little longer.
Try searching for:
"crutchfield advisor" "hdtv part 2" on the same line in Google...they'll tell you how!
If you search for "miserable failure" on Google, George Bush's bio is the first result. Michael Moore's site is the second.
I had a simmillar thing at the theatre I work at, we had a show comming in called "pottawattami garden club" and the older lady who is in charge of the marquee wanted us to shorten it and just put "pot garden club" took her a few days to relaise what she asked us to do...
"If you search for "miserable failure" on Google, George Bush's bio is the first result. Michael Moore's site is the second."
Funny, especially because the url is whitehouse.gov!
Re: Miserable Failure. The third and fourth links on the page explain the scam. Search Engine Watch wrote about it in January of 2004.
So how do you grow the Pattawattami?
----
Well, yeah Eric. I read an article about that; it's called googlebombing. If a lot of sites link to whitehouse.gov using the words 'miserable failure' then the site'll show up first when you do the search.

The fifth search result down is: "This Is Broken - Unfortunate search result summary". I think that's called a circular reference.
I work for a bank and on our corporate intranet site today we had an offer from 'Associate Banking'. The message reads, "Open a Prima Checking Account Online and get $50.00 from Ass..." Hmm... that's not where I wanted to get my $50.00, but I guess it is better than nothing.
