Broken: AOL headline
Howard Meyer, viewing the AOL headlines, writes:
Amelia Earhart is going to "chuck" Yeager? What does she have against him? Startling headlines!
Howdy!
I understand this article - I know that the people are named Amelia and Chuck, not Amelia is going to chuck him! Flying is good, BTW.
Why is it that when I try to look at pictureson here all I see is a bunch of weird symbols? It's not just this computer either.
Reminds me of the slogan that went around after the UK Royal Wedding in the 80's - and this is not PC so if you're easily offended, don't look:
"Drink up, Chuck and Di!"
"Amusing perhaps, but not broken."
That's why it's in the "just for fun" section! Lighten up, people... laugh and move on.
T-1000:
It's probably that your security settings are too high and the computer won't download pictures (if the symbols are red Xs, that's probably it). This happens on many computers and might be on more than one computer you use.
Everybody else:
Aren't the pictures sort of switched around, too? Yes, I know, I get it, it's a pun.
"If Amelia Earhart is going to 'chuck' Yeager, 'Chuck' would be in lowercase letters."
Not in a headline. Look at "New" and "Heights" in the headline above--both capitalized.
"Viagra Causes Blindness"? I thought masturbation does. Did Earhart chuck Yeager cause he didn't use Viagra?
a great example of someone trying to find a problem with a headline that is correct. There is nothing wrong or funny here..
