Broken: Heathrow Airport sign
Jerod sends us a classic from Heathrow Airport in London.
I thought it was a place to take smoking babies.
Seriously (ha) tho', it's not really broken. The sign is just saying that the Smoking Area and the Babycare are in the same direction.
People were smoking around babies long before politicians thought it would be cool to ban smoking. Who cares? Smoke a cig and take care of your kid and get on with life.
That partucular sign has both baby care and smoking in the same direction. However, perhaps up ahead at a hallway intersection there are two signs - One pointing to the left for the smoking area and another pointing to the right for the baby care area...
I think we all know what the sign really means (they're down the hall that way, but different rooms), but I still think it's broken. Why do they have the symbols for smoking and baby care in the same black blob? Wouldn't it *vastly* improve the sign to have them be very visually seperate icons? Sure we know what it means. It still can be improved.
What's really broken is the word "Babycare", which really isn't a word at all. It should be two words.
Except for the fact that smoking and babycare are combined in the icon, which does sort of imply that they are one and the same. Kind of dumb way to set up icons.
Umm... you probably just think they're weird because they find humor in a broken/nonbroken situation.
I suppose you're like that cheese guy in yesterday's post.
To no-one,
Because only werid people like me keep refreashing the page constantly for a new news post, just to get the first comment in!

Sorry to disappoint the people who have never been to Heathrow: the sign isn't broken. There is a smoker's baby room and a non-smoking baby room. You have to walk 15 minutes and pass three understaffed security checkpoints to reach them and then stand in line for half an hour. Unfortunately, all the collapseable changing table are broken, the floor is carpeted and smells like baby vomit. On the plus side, it's right next to the Aeroport Wetherspoons, so your at the right place should you fancy a pint.
tee-hee. so the baby-changing room is adjacent to the smoking room *and* a bar?
i totally agree with phileas.
Why is there smoker's baby room? Not to offend any smoker's, but should someone really be smoking around a baby?
I agree with Bob @ bobbob@bobbobbobbob.com who agrees with Phileas and also no one @ YOU'R@RE.TARD .....
What's broken is that they are still allowing smoking inside a public building, period. Come on, get with times.
