Broken: Scout camp sign
Adam writes:
I witnessed this sign at Boy Scout camp Dechora. They have a climbing program there called C. O. P. E. But which way is it?
Aww com'mon now..this is little boys who when they grow up don't ask for directions. Why would they start now? Take one path or the other eventually the will get there right?? I remember camping once at a very primitive spot high up a hill and a couple in a snazzy sports car all dolled up in evening wear with all the jewels in place asked for primitive camping and did it have running water, showers and a breakfast bar. This isn't broken ( unless you are implying that men and boys are basically broken) simply amusing. Thanks for the good laugh.
Obviously going through the woods is the most direct path to your destination; otherwise take the two paths around it.
If you look thhe sign is o the path going to the left. That path does not keep going left. It more looks like it will STRAIGHTEN out. The path on the rogt just keeps on going right.
Or it could be UP a tree or there is a helicopter with a rope latter thrown over the side to jump on and you climb the latter.
At a campground once, we asked a ranger we met on a path how far it was to the lake. He asked us, "As the crow flies?" Uh, yes please. We'd like to try out our new wings.
Once you get to the top of the ladder on the helicopter they release the ladder and you fall possibly to your death
Heh. This reminds me of a sign I saw in a parking garage last week:

The Boy Scouts should be well equipped with a compass. They don't need sissy signs to lead the way.
