Broken: Fire station in Start, La.
Randy McKoin writes from Louisiana:
This is a fire station in Start, Louisiana and is named Start Fire. Need I say more...
I like that they even give you a picture in the center of a fire being started just in case you were wondering how to start fire. Maybe just maybe this isn't broken, but is instead a way to keep the firemen busy. They were bored so their asking people to start fires. I'm now going to have to drive to Intercorse PA, to see if I can see any signs for Intercorse Fire. Now that would be something to see.
broken and funny :)
they could have put fire in the center door and station ont the third door. at least you would know what the heck that building was at first glance.
Louise,
When I was at PennState the newspaper would always have pictures of the Amish in Intercourse PA. It's actually a charming little town.
_@_v - the army corps of engineers usually names a new-built dam after the nearest town or village. they had to alter that policy when they build a damn near the town of 'gad'...
This is like one of those stupid instruction manuals you see for something you probably already know.
1. Start Fire
2. Stare in Shock
3. Call Start Fire
Well, if you look at it, that's a picture of a cotton plant burning. So it could be seen as "Start Cotton Fire"

I'm assuming Billy Joel either doesn't work there or denies it vehemently.
