Broken: Bad favico
Jon Wiley asks, "Why is the favicon for American Way magazine a radiation symbol? American Way is Rad!"
Well, I get the simple internet explorer icon. Does it work the other way round or something in the internet explorer?

IE doesn't download the favico file until you make a bookmark to the page. The quickest way to see the favico is to drag the IE icon from the address bar to your desktop.
"And how is the user experience diminished by this??? "
Because it sends mixed signals. Alert icons are meant to attract the eye for a reason. By using it here, it (in principle) diminishes their effectiveness.
P.S. I think it's actually a BEACH BALL.
It means the cargo in the cargo section of the aircraft your on could be radioactive, could be beach balls, could be umbrellas! You'll never know for sure!

how are mixed signals sent by that? i think that, at most, it's confusing, and dosen't detract from the effectiveness of anything.
besides, the nuke logo is yellow and black.
Who knows what it is, but it is a bit strange. Who designs these things anyway? Favicons have never seemed very helpful.(except the encrypted/unencrypted ones) Just another broken page in a broken book.
It shows in firefox too.. and you dont even have to make it a bookmark first in that case either.. Firefox is far superior in its handling of favicons and security.. darn Activex..
Ever since i have started using firfox i DO NOT GET ANY SPYWARE. Ad-Aware SE is just siting on my desktop doing nothing but getting fragmeted up. In a security test IE failed every test. An older version of mozilla failed about 2 tests out of 20. Plus firefox get updates every few weeks and that is an entire program version update not a stupid patch. Firefox even has themes.
Also instead of having a bunch of toolbars for different engines there is a little box in the corner with a google icon. just click on the icon to add new engines. i have 12 so far. Also just click on the icon to get the list of search engins you have. WAY BETTER THAT IE.
F*CK MICROSOFT AND IE.

Looks like the website is generated by the DotNetNuke CMS. Must be the default favico.
