Broken: Logitech's "special price"
This Logitech digital pen has a suggested retail price of $99.95, but a "Special Price" of $99.95! Get it while it lasts!
Thanks to Daniel.
I also like the improper use of quote marks for emphasis in "Special Price".
But then, maybe they know that the special price isn't special, so they're using the quotes to signify irony.
My head hurts.
Ah, I love the irony quote marks. It's also fun to go to a store see regular price $119.00, on sale for $99.99 and then remove the temporary sticker to reveal the true normal price of 99.95! Best Buy is notorious for their fake sales. That and the fact that their website is horrendous. It takes forever to get an order that you place, and half the time their site says there are too many shoppers in our store. Ramble.. ramble.. mutter.. mutter... BestBuy... mutter .. mutter mutter...get you one day...mutter.. batman.
The site even says "Deals like this are too good to overlook."
Yes, especially for people like Daniel.
I happened upon a piece of software on the clearance rack at MicroCenter the other day. They were blowing it out at $149.47; original price $149.99.
Which gives me an idea for counterfeit "special sale" sickers in the local grocery...make up legitimate looking little stickers to go over the existing prices...canned peas "Special sale - now 10 for 99c". Put these up all over the store and then hang around the customer service window and watch the fun.

At least it's not on sale for the 'extra special price' of $119.95.
