Broken: (Funny) Video store rental agreement
Here's a link that made the rounds recently. Watch what you sign at the video store.
You're agreeing to a whole different kind of "customer service"!
You also promise not to deny renting those videos.
The problem with these things is video stores typically don't care if you signature is forged, so it's all worthless. Happened to me, an obvious forgery and the store would not budge, and it was only $40 in late fees.
funny as heck!
but am i the only one that thinks that was pre-meditated. i.e. someone edited it to look like that "surrenduring ur soul yadda yadda yadda" was really truely part of the reciept.
just my first gut-feeling when reading that.
btw- im horrible at spelling
The name of the store at the top of the receipt is 'I Love Video' in the highlighted area, it's 'I Luv Video'
I vote forgery.
It's hard to tell; the quality of the scan is so bad (if it was forgery, that was probably intentional to disguise the edits).
It's real--I am from Austin and go to I Luv Video all the time.
This is actually a great scheme, although I don't think it's intentional. I always go back to the shop wanting to see what I am agreeing to this week! It's a subtle draw away from competitors, and makes the experience of going to the store more pleasant and fun.
I'm from Austin, and I used to live next to I LUV VIDEO...
The sign outside has a heart (IIRC), and the stuff inside the store is inconsistent between "LUV" and "LOVE"...
But why is there a receipt for $0.00 with nothing listed?
