Broken: Grassisgreener.com signup
Separately, Peter Noteboom writes in to say that there's no way to sign up for a new account on grassisgreener.com, a jobs site:
I wonder how many people are using this site to search for jobs. Apparently, their users are getting their user names and passwords from somewhere else, because it is not possible to register on the site itself. I tried every link, including support and FAQ links, and there is literally no way to sign up.Funny that it promises "and the best user experience!"
If you use the troubleshooter on the site by saying you're having difficulty logging in, you get to this page:
http://jobsearch2.jobinthebox.com/gig2/trouble/answer.asp?TID=
Clicking on the link takes you right back to the site's home page, however.
Very broken, clearly.
Matt: If you follow the link from that page, the resulting page has a "Become a member" link.
Still horribly broken, though-- what good is that link if you have to wade through ten levels of the site to get there?
No, wait, I take that back. I went through the troubleshooter again, and it *didn't* show a Become A Member link.
I'm confused... O_o
Hm. Figured it out. Somehow I got sent off to http://jobsearch2.jobinthebox.com/gig2/login/login.asp rather than http://jobsearch2.jobinthebox.com/gig2/monetizegig/login.asp when I clicked on the link once-- and I have no idea how. The only difference between the two pages is that one has a "Become a Member" link and one doesn't!
This is entirely messed up. Heh.
Now I see why they still have over 4,865,452 job postings. Maybe it's an interesting way to screen potential applicants?
Therefore the site is still broken...Imagine all the person-hours they would have saved us if they had just said that up front!
Heh you have all had a great joke played on you. Grassisgreener.com looks to me like a great big joke. There is no job search function. The entire point of the site is to convince you how great their non-existent service is. If i was the guy at the recieving end of support@grassisgreener.com I would be laughing my butt off 24/7. Pretty creative and great detail put into this one. Kudos to the creator!

That is a good question. Where have all the sign-up pages gone?
