Broken: Macy's confirmation email
Phil Terry sends in the confirmation email Macy's sent him after he ordered a $150 gift card. Note how the email doesn't describe what he ordered in words a customer understands:

I understand what it means, it mostly says that he had requested 1 item of the product called something dealing with EGC-MCDADSTD03. Also that there was 1 available for them to buy and that they were going to ship the item to the person on March 5,2004.
As the user of Macy's online wedding registry services I would say Macy's just really needs some usability.
There's no way to tell, as a registry "owner", the difference between an item you changed your mind about and told Macy's you don't want, and an item someone bought you.
I've had to call them to confirm that a gift was shipping and not just deleted by my fiance.
I'm still not sure about the Potato Masher....
IAM TRYING TO LOCATE &PURCHASE CALAPHON COMMERCIAL NONSTICK 13 PC SETOFF THE BRIDAL REGISTRY #0016853003181 FOR $349.99 . I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM SOMEONE. IFEEL I HAVE BEEN GETTING THE RUN AROUND .THANK YOU JOSEPH JACKIEWICZ
As a database software developer, I'm glad to see that Macy's is aggressively lowering the bar for required quality. If customers put up with that, pretty soon I won't be expected to do any work at all!

Someone should tell Macy's about this glitch.
