Broken: ShopRite rubbing alcohol
I have twice now unscrewed the cap, on this bottle of ShopRite rubbing alcohol, and re-capped it without breaking the safety seal. Aren't these things supposed to be tamper-evident? The only sign of tampering is that some of the product is now missing from the bottle.
I guess the point of these wrappers is so people don't tamper with them, which means to open the cap, slip something into the product, reseal and reshelf. What would people add to alcohol to make it any more dangerous that it is if taken orally? Either way, I get your point. But ever try to open a plastic bottle of Mott's applejuice? It's damn near impossible even for the strongest of grips.

No guessing required. Yes, that's the point of tamper-evident caps.

Rubbing alcohol often is used as a disinfectant. Replacing it with something else, e.g. microbe-filled pond water, would have negative consequences.
I've been able open other products, with out tearing the seal. Tamper-evident seals don't work very well..
They should be more like soda botles.
It would still be tapmer evident because if the
ring and the cap are already seperated someon opened the bottle.
Yes, I was just about to send this in until I saw this. I do it all the time... and then trick my family by putting empty bottles with the seal still on :-)
