Broken: Sprint DSL installation
Royce Shin notes that in Sprint's DSL installation kit, "both the CD and the modem demand to be installed first." Also broken: There's a large sticker reminding you to install the modem first... it's stuck on the modem. This does nothing for people who throw the CD in first. As Royce notes:
I assume that the scarier lettering on the modem takes precedence, but the sticker probably would've been more helpful on the CD case. Presumably those who read the modem sticker would already have made the choice to start with the modem or would be too late to do anything about it.
when I installed sbc dsl 3 months ago I didn't need any CD, either with win98 or linux fedora core2. Dang thing ran just as soon as I pointed IE and Mozilla at local lan.
I have cox high speed and you have to connect the motorola modem first. than you put the motorla disk that checks to make sure you modem is running properly and than you put in the cox disk that should optimize your Computer for the fasest possible connection and thst puts COX in the little squar on the top right hand side of IE.
P.S. I use mozilla firefox

thing is you probably don't need the cd at all if you use a decent operating system (read: linux)
