Authentic donuts, anyone?
Spotted on the street in Manhattan: a fast-food donut chain promising "Authenticity meets affordability."
Time to stop eating all those inauthentic donuts and switch to pure authentic fast food!
(What??)

I think they're talking about the lattes, but your point still stands :-)
Thanks, Mark... I actually had no idea what the ad was about.
(And yes - what exactly is an authentic latte? Do they fly them in freshly made in Tuscany and Paris?)
Hi Mark,
My guess is it's a subtle jab at Starbucks. They have "friends don't let friends drink starbucks" shirts, and I think the idea is "real" people eat at dunkin ("america runs on dunkin").
Could be totally wrong, though. In any case, their coffee is crap compared to even the worst (Pike Place Roast) at Starbucks.
Shows how important it is to get the advertising campaign right. That does have some confusing elements in in. I see what they are trying to do by making the bottom corner 'heavy' to draw the eye to it.
"Authentic" donuts come from a small O/O here in our town- proof at 3am, into the aged LARD fryer -- really tasty and opposite pole from taste-o-factory Dunkins...
Yah, the sign makes no sense. Whats so authentic about a Latte DD?
