US Airways is now charging $1 and $2 for coffee and soda unless a passenger insists on not paying, in which case attendants are allowed to give away the drinks. (Also covered in the NYT.) Seeing the economic incentive for obnoxious passengers, some flight attendants are likely to ignore the policy altogether.
Update: JetBlue is now charging for a pillow.
