David Pogue on the Flip mini-camcorder: "It’s always ready, always with you, always trustworthy. Instead of crippling [it], the simplicity elevates it."

Flip's design offers none of the bloated features customers don't need (which are commonplace in most camcorders) and instead focuses on the few things that customers do need.

The result? In one year, the Flip has gone from launch to capturing 13% of the camcorder market.

I bought a Flip in December, and it's great. I took it with me on a trip to Ireland a months ago, and recorded about 90 minutes of video, lots of it in gasps of less than 20 seconds. Carried it in my pocket, pulled it out and shot a few seconds whenever I wanted. Super!

Flip has changed our family life more than TiVo! We're capturing every moment of our kids lives, and with ZERO effort, sharing them online with family and friends. My wife thinks it's the best invention ever.

What's great about the flip is that they have figured out that most people have camcorders with tapes piled up in drawers, never to be seen again. I don't need HD quality video, I need memories that are quick and easy to view and share.
