"What if the principle of pre-emptive war is adopted by Russia, China, Israel, India, Pakistan, and others, 'justified' by current U.S. policy?" -- Ron Paul

Let's start following the advice of the founding fathers and avoid entangling alliances.

You're right. More nuclear, clean coal production, windfarms in the Northeast and Columbia River Gorge, and drilling in the U.S. would lessen our reliance on the Saudis. Is that why it's interesting?

Andrew — Dec 18, '07 – 11:53 PM

Yeah, but Ron Paul is a hypocrite because he believes in taking away women's right to safe and legal abortions.

check what barry says for a similar deconstruction of america's role in middle eastern affairs and a similar style of animation.

Amazing intro and it got a 7.3 on IMDB. I'm downloading it right now: http://www.rlslog.net/the-kingdom-dvdrip-xvid-diamond/

The only way to solve our energy problems is with wind, solar, and nuclear power. It's about time we start building more nuclear power plants now that we have advanced in our understanding and technology. Even Iran gets the idea that oil is running out and built a reactor. There has not been any US nuclear facilities built in far too long. With sustainable power and plug-in hybrids or all electric cars we will be around a lot longer to enjoy them. We also need to take diplomatic action against people like china who build new coal power plants every month. There is no such thing as real clean coal, its just cleaner than it was before.

Save nuclear power is the answer, the sun even uses it, it does work for the sun doesn't it.

Rocky et al promote the conflation of electricity and reduced need for oil. Drilling, yes. Nuclear, no. Coal, no. Wind, no. Why is it that the "we must be independent of the Mulsims" crowd never mentions the obvious -- increasing fuel efficiency?

Politics aside, I thought the opening credits and extra's graphic depiction of the complex history engaging on a visceral level. Moreover, as a visual person, I wish engaging 'tools' like this could have be around when I was studying history.
