Broken: JetBlue error message
Aug 6, 2007
Speaking of poor visibility, how about this yellow-on-white error text at JetBlue? Just saw this today as I tried to book a flight.

Well, I see it fine. However, I'm not sure about the elderly (no offense). But the yellow makes it seem like someone was too overly active with Word and decided to "Mix things up" with different colors that don't match the theme.
Reminds of the LA Times. They love screwing with fonts.
It's not that hard to read, but it's kind of a pain. It would be better made in black or red and more visible at the same time.
Verdict: Slightly BROKEN. Not badly, though. Still....it's broken.
For people with low vision, this is a poor choice of text color indeed.
The really broken thing on the JetBlue site is trying to find the navigation to book a flight using TrueBlue points ... it is an obscure link as opposed to a prominent choice in the TrueBlue section.
Yellow definetely is not the best color for this message.
Personally I like the case number! What
exactly am I to do with that??
The case number is for confusing small children. If you, like me, like a darker screen, the colors create a strange contrast that doesn't make it harder to read, but does hurt the eyes. Why not just checker the words and background?
