Ariel's empty inbox
Ariel just got her inbox to zero. She writes:
As a result of using Gootodo, I've actually become less scheduled. No more excel spreadsheet of life. I'm a lot more relaxed and available to my life as a result. Today I'm celebrating finally getting my inbox to ZERO.
... It feels awesome.

You know, I've never had this problem of too much email. I've been online for a decade, working in tech for nearly all of that time. I'm on mailing lists, I communicate with friends and family, and of course I get spam. I'm on Facebook, Twitter, and a few other networks.
But my inbox is never full. It is never even overwhelming. It is usually empty, in fact. At most, I've got maybe 4 or 5 messages sitting there waiting for a response. This also more or less true of my work Inbox, where I get a great deal more mail.
I have no "system" as far as I know. When a mail arrives, I either respond to it or get around to responding within a couple of hours. I either chuck the mail into a folder or trash it. That's it; it takes almost no effort.
For those who need some extra incentive, and zeroing out doesn't come naturally like Andrew, take a screen shot daily of getting to zero and file it away.
It helps push you to your daily objective.
